Detailed itinerary of 5 days Samburu, Crescent Island and Masai Mara safari
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Samburu national reserve
To start your safari, you will be picked from your hotel in Nairobi by our safari driver – guide, he will give you a short briefing about the safari and embark on a journey to Samburu national reserve. Along the way you will enjoy the scenic landscape and the country side of Kenya, arrive in time for lunch at your lodge.
In the afternoon you will go for an afternoon game drive in the plains of Samburu national reserve lasting up to 06:00 pm, during the game drive you will enjoy and capture views of the scenic arid landscape of the reserve and various wildlife species such as Grevy’s zebra, the Beisa Oryx, the Gerenuk, the reticulated giraffes, Somali ostrich among others. Head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: morning game drive and transfer to Crescent Island, Lake Naivasha
Wake up before dawn and head to the plains of Samburu national reserve for an early morning drive, on this game drive you will catch the breathtaking sunrise and spot a number of animals as they are just waking up. In the morning hours it is still cool and the animals are easy to see, lookout out to Samburu special five the Beisa Oryx, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, Grevy’s zebra, and gerenuk, a long-necked antelope that feeds while standing on its hind feet.
After the game drive, you will head back to the lodge for late breakfast, then checkout of your lodge and embark on a drive to Lake Naivasha arriving in late afternoon. Along the way you will have lunch and arrive at the lake in the late afternoon, check into your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: full day at Lake Naivasha (visit the crescent island and nature walk around Lake Naivasha)
Wake up for breakfast and head to the Crescent Island accessed on a boat ride on the calm waters of Lake Naivasha, the island is found in the middle of Lake Naivasha and is a habitat for several bird species such as fish eagles, herons, Ospreys, black crakes and animals such as zebras, impalas, cape buffaloes, Kongoni, giraffes, hippos among others. After exploring the island, you will head back to your lodge for lunch and in the afternoon you will return to shores of the lake for a guided walks while enjoying the beautiful scenery and spotting animals such as hippos and many birds including huge populations of pink flamingoes. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: transfer to Maasai Mara national reserve
After early breakfast, you will embark on a journey to Maasai Mara national reserve the most popular wildlife destination in Kenya, along the way you will have a stopover at Narok Valley view point where you will have scenic views of the Rift Valley and its escarpments. Then proceed to the reserve arriving in the time for lunch at your lodge, in the afternoon you will go for an afternoon game drive exploring the savannah plains of the reserve. During the game drive, lookout for animals such as the Big Five, lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, elephants and rhinos. You will also enjoy endless plains of Masai Mara worth photographing, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: morning game drive and departure
Wake up early for a cup of coffee and head to the reserve for an early morning game drive, in the morning hours you will enjoy spectacular views of the sunrise and many animals such as cheetahs, lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, rhinos , wildebeests, gazelles, elands, zebras among others. Then return to the lodge for breakfast, checkout and embark on a journey back to Nairobi.
