The 1 day Tsavo West National Park safari from Nairobi is a thrilling adventure that whisks you away from the city’s hustle and bustle and immerses you in the stunning wildlife of Kenya’s rugged landscape, where you will embark on an amazing game drive through the park’s dramatic scenery, spotting an incredible variety of wildlife against the majestic backdrop of volcanic hills, acacia woodlands, and shimmering lakes, with the opportunity to witness the magnificent Mzima Springs, home to hippos and crocodiles.

Day 1: Arrival and game drive in Tsavo West National Park.

On the first day of the safari, you will be picked up from your hotel in Nairobi or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at 6: 00 am or from your hotel in Nairobi. Your safari guide will brief you about the one-day safari in Tsavo West National Park. After the briefing, you will proceed with your journey to Tsavo West National Park, which is 4 to 5 hours.

Upon your arrival, you will enter Tsavo West National Park and start the game drive you will spot animal species like lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, cheetahs, rhinos, hyenas, wild dogs, buffaloes, antelopes, crocodiles, hippos, and zebras and watch various bird species like ostriches, vultures, and eagles among others.

After the game drive you will go for a picnic lunch in the middle of Tsavo West National Park while enjoying the cool atmosphere and spotting various wildlife. After lunch, you can choose to visit different locations in the park, such as the Mzima Springs to see crocodiles, hippos, and other wildlife.

You can also visit the Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary in the park as you learn about the conservation efforts and spot the black rhinos.  Later, after the experience, your safari guide will transfer you back to Nairobi in your hotel or to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your next flight. This will make your safari come to an end.
