Samburu National Reserve is also home of Kamunyak, a lioness famous for adopting oryx calves. In the middle of the reserve, the Ewaso Ng’iro flows through doumpalm groves and thick riverine forests which provides water to the game drive in this arid region.

Day 1: Pick up and Transfer to Samburu National Reserve
Our Driver-Guide will pick you from your hotel in Nairobi as early as 08:00 Am or from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, he will brief you about the Kenya safari and then depart for the semi-arid Samburu National Reserve.
Along the way you will have a brief stop at The Equator Crossing Point for pictures and a chance to stand in both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres.
Continue with the journey arriving in time for lunch at your lodge after check-in, enjoy a brief rest and in the afternoon you will go for an afternoon game drive exploring the reserve searching for several wildlife such as buffaloes, lions, zebras, and giraffes among others which you will see free grazing.

Day 2: Enjoy Full Day in Samburu National Reserve
Spend a full day in Samburu National Park on a morning and afternoon game drive. On these game drives you will have ample time to explore and visit the various regions of Samburu National Reserve and spot several wildlife including big herds elephants, prides of lions as well as the Samburu Special Five – Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Beisa Oryx and Grenuk.
Other animals to lookout for include klipspringer, Honey Badger, lions, crested porcupine, copper tailed monkey, common eland and several bird species such as African white backed vulture, African Spoonbill among others. Enjoy lunch at one of the picnic sites and continue with game viewing till evening. Return to your lodge in the evening for relaxation as you wait for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Return To Nairobi
Wake up early for breakfast and go for your last game drive in Samburu National Reserve. Later exit the reserve and journey back to Nairobi with en-route lunch. You will be dropped off at your hotel or at the airport for your flight back home or to your next destination.
